Comment on Statement Condemning the Violent Insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, Expanded by Anne Pitcher

I repeat my earlier comment. Why not use these necessary but largely symbolic statements to call attention to the vital research ALREADY done by political scientists that explains the institutional, political, socioeconomic, and cultural mechanisms driving polarization and political violence in this country? Our work needs to be part of any effort to fix our broken country.
